The Problem(s)
The Figma file above contains four pages, each highlighting a distinct problem for each:
User / People Management (Main Problem)
• There was no way for an admin to manage their employees (users) within the electives product.
• Admins had to contact Electives' Customer Success team to manage their people.
Event Overview
• The user had no way to register for an event within the product, they had to contact their admin which then contacted customer success with a final count of users (employees) wanting to join that specific event
• After registering, the user had no way of seeing what the event entailed, unable to properly prepare for the upcoming event
Post-Event Survey Experience
• Users had no way of sharing their experience after the event was ended
Pilot Registration
• Electives allows some users to hop into an event before it's available to the public. There was no way to confirm their registration to join an event
The Outcome and Highlights
These 'quick wins' for the product have nearly eliminated the need for customer success intervention. Previously, almost every aspect of the Electives product required their involvement.
Admins have full control of their users within the product. The admin can now add new users, assign them roles, add them to teams, control if they have a membership license, see how many classes (events) they've taken and when they've last been active.
As a user attending an event, they can now see an overview, revisit the event they'll be attending and even ask a question prior to the event that is sent directly to the instructor of the class, who can then address the question within the event
The user can fill out a simple survey post-event
Users can now register and confirm their registration to pilot classes
